We’re looking for mushroom people across the Midwest—mycologists, club members, community scientists, photographers, and curious fungi hunters—to help shape the Challenge before it launches in 2027.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 to help launch the Midwest Rare Fungi Challenge.
Sponsorship supports volunteer recruitment, field resources, the Rare 20 target species campaign, digital infrastructure, community outreach, and the work needed to turn fungal observations into useful conservation data.
