Todd Elliott

Todd Elliott has studied ecology and fungi on six continents and is passionate about the way fungi interact and associate with ecosystems. Todd is particularly interested in the ecological importance and complexity of biodiversity and how we humans can assist with its maintenance and conservation. He has collaborated on the publication of fungal species and genera new to science and has authored many peer-reviewed publications and the book Mushrooms of the Southeast. Todd’s doctoral research focused on the role of vertebrates in the dispersal of ectomycorrhizal fungi, especially poorly known truffle-like species.
